WHITE SALMON – People who travel through White Salmon and Bingen using State Route 141 should plan ahead and expect delays.

Beginning Monday, June 5, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will utilize alternating single lane closures for pavement repair work. These repairs will improve the surface of the roadway resulting in a smoother travel experience for all road users.

Closure details

  • From Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 15, travelers will alternate intermittently through a single lane, with flaggers, daily from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., between the cities of White Salmon and Bingen.
  • Travelers will follow a pilot car through the work zone and should expect delays of up to 20 minutes when flaggers are present.

During pavement repair work, travelers along SR 141 and in surrounding residential neighborhoods should anticipate daytime travel delays. Additionally, intermittent flashing lights and construction noise may be heard as WSDOT crews work diligently to expedite the repairs.
