Skyline Hospital is a Washington State Public Hospital District serving Western Klickitat County and eastern Skamania County. Overlooking the scenic Columbia River Gorge, the hospital is located on a bluff in White Salmon.
With personalized care, a new state-of-the art wing, and private rooms with unparalleled views, Skyline Hospital is redefining rural health care in the gorge. The hospital has 18 rooms, 14 of which are private, and three are all-in-one birthing suites (labor-delivery-recovery-and-post-partum). With 50 participating physicians (the core group from the Mid-Columbia Family Center) and a hospital staff of triple that, Skyline provides the care you need, when you need it. The hospital also offers a host of health and wellness classes throughout the year.
This critical access, acute care hospital gives our community quality care in the areas of obstetrics, surgery, cardiopulmonary, laboratory, and radiology. In addition, Skyline’s premier physical therapy department is one of the few residency sites for certified sports medicine physical therapy in the country. Our trauma Level IV emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, supports three ambulances, and operates the only FAA-approved hospital-based heli-pad in the gorge.
Skyline is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners. The core group of Medical Staff personnel are the family medicine physicians of the Mid-Columbia Family Health Center, whose offices and clinic are located on the Skyline campus. They also operate a clinic in Stevenson, WA. In addition, specialty physicians from throughout the area enjoy privileges at Skyline.
