Road Biking

White Salmon is an ideal starting and ending point for exploring the many paved and gravel roads that lace the Washington side of the Columbia River. You're sure to find something to your taste and plenty to explore throughout the area. Mt Adams CyclistWhether it's a short, gently rolling wheel through the byways surrounding the town, or spectacular longer out-and-back jaunts and loops to Underwood, Mill A, Husum, BZ, Trout Lake, Glenwood, Klickitat, Lyle or even the golden wheat fields of Goldendale, you'll find it all enchanting and the people friendly.

Trout Lake Bike RaceYou'll encounter stunning vistas, orchards, open fields, tree-shaded lanes and incredibly beautiful scenes around every corner. Take a lunch break at a little diner along the way, or find a quiet picnic spot beside a tumbling river. The side roads are lightly traveled while the main roads are only moderately busy, generally with wide clean shoulders perfect for cycling. Once you've riden here you'll be back for more.
