Excessive Heat Warning- Affected Events/Services

We are under an excessive heat warning through Thursday. Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with the hottest temperatures currently forecast for Tuesday afternoon.

  • Due to the excessive heat, Republic Services will run collection routes one-hour early on Wednesday Aug. 16th 

  • The White Salmon Farmers Market for Tuesday August 15 has been canceled due to the high temperatures

Below are some helpful reminders and resources for staying safe during this heat wave:

A reminder that burn bans are currently in effect throughout Klickitat County. Be cautious about other activities that could create sparks, such as using gas or electric yard/construction equipment.

Cooling kits are available for community members in need. Connect with a WAGAP Community Health Worker or visit a WAGAP branch during regular office hours, go to wagap.org/contact. A limited amount of cooling kits will also be available to pick up at City Hall between 8:30a-5pm Tues-Friday.
