Job Opening: Full-Time Public Works Operations Manager

We are excited to announce a job opening for the position of Full-Time Public Works Operations Manager at the City of White Salmon.

This role presents an immediate opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team and contribute to the efficient functioning of our public infrastructure.

Position Overview: As the Public Works Operations Manager, you will oversee various aspects of public works operations, including water distribution, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, street maintenance, and city park amenities. This multifaceted role requires a self-motivated individual who is committed to continual learning and excels in a team environment. Specific licenses and certificates are required, as outlined in the job description.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining water distribution systems
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting treatment plants and pump stations
  • Assessing and maintaining wastewater and stormwater collection systems
  • Reviewing and upgrading city park amenities
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of:

  • High school graduation or GED
  • 2 years college-level coursework or continuing education
  • 5 years of Public Works or related construction experience
  • Administrative, supervisory, or management experience is preferred

Additional Details: The position is non-union exempt.

Monthly salary ranges from $6,025.39 to $6,781.63, depending on qualifications. Benefits include vacation and sick leave, retirement, and health benefits.
