Governor Inslee Issues Final Utility Moratorium Extension

Governor Inslee issued an extension of the utility moratorium proclamation which will now expire on September 30, 2021. This will be the final extension and aligns with the end of the date of the tenancy preservation bridge to give Washingtonians struggling with housing payments time to prepare and seek assistance before the proclamations expire.

The City of White Salmon offers a payment plan for utility accounts with a balance over $300. The city will continue to waive late fees through September 30, 2021. The first late fee that would be assessed would be with the November 2021 billing for any payments not made by October 20, 2021. The City encourages anyone who currently has a water/sewer utility account past due balance to make application to the City of White Salmon to prevent utility disconnections in the future. The form is provided below under "Supporting Documents." For more information, please contact Stephanie Porter, Deputy Clerk/Utility Clerk at 509-493-1133 #203.
