Where can I get my fingerprints taken?

You can be fingerprinted by the Bingen-White Salmon Police department on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday 8am to 3pm. The police department is located in the Park Center Building, 170 NW Lincoln Street, White Salmon, Washington. Please bring picture identification and your fingerprint cards. Fingerprinting fee is $25.00 Payments may be made by cash, check or money order, made out to City of White Salmon.

Where do I pay a ticket?

Payments for Bingen-White Salmon Police Department issued tickets are handled through West District Court. Located in the Pioneer Building, 501 Washington Street, White Salmon, Washington. They are open 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. How Can I get a Copy of a Police report?

A "Public Request for Records" form can be obtained for the Police Department. By law, some information within police reports may be confidential or not for disclosure. Each request will be reviewed by the Police Chief and responded in a timely manner. The fee for copies of Police reports is .15 cents per page. The fee for accident reports is $20.00.

When do I need to file a traffic accident report myself?

If you are involved in a vehicle accident and the police investigate it, you do not need to file a report. If you are involved in an accident and the police do not investigate it and damage is more than $700 to either vehicle or there are any injuries, you must complete a WA State Citizen Vehicle Collision Report, which can also be found on the Bulletin board in the Lobby of the Police Department. Where do I send the completed accident form?

Mail the form to: Washington State Patrol, Records Section, P.O. Box 42628, Olympia, WA 98504-2628. This information is also on the accident report form.

My Vehicle was towed/impounded? Where can I find it?

If your vehicle was impounded within Bingen or White Salmon city limits call 509-493-1177 to determine which tow company has your vehicle. If your vehicle was impounded in Klickitat County call 509-773-4455 to determine which tow company has your vehicle. If your vehicle was impounded on a state or interstate route contact the Washington State Police . Once you have located your vehicle, you may contact the tow  company directly.

Is my dog required to be licensed within the City?

Yes. A Dog six (6) months or older must be registered with the City of Bingen or White Salmon. Bingen residents may obtain Licenses at Bingen City Hall, 112 N. Ash, Bingen, WA. and White Salmon residents may obtain licenses at White Salmon City Hall, 100 N. Main, White Salmon, WA. License fee is $25.00 per year, in the event the owner provides proof of a neutered or spayed animal, the fee shall be reduced to $10.00. Proof of rabies shot must be shown prior to purchase of tag. When you license your dog, you provide the city with a current record of your dog and your information as the owner. This helps us if your dog is found wandering. The penalty for not licensing your dog is $100.00.

If your dog is missing and you feel the Bingen-White Salmon Police has picked up the dog please call: Bingen City Hall at 509-493-2122 for Bingen Residents or Goldendale Impound Facility at 509-773-3780. I was a victim of identity theft recently, should I report it?

If you live within the city limits, and even if the theft  occurred in another jurisdiction, it is advisable to file a report. Often your insurance company and/or your financial institution will recommend you file a report in your local jurisdiction.

How do I report a crime?

If the crime is in progress OR is an emergency nature, call 911. If it is of a non-emergency nature call the office at 509-493-1177 or dispatch at 509-493-2660.  You may also report directly to an officer if you should see one on patrol, or go to the office at the Park Center in White Salmon. The office is open 8-4pm Monday through Friday. Remember not to place yourself or other's in danger if you should see a crime in progress. Common sense should prevail.

Why doesn't an officer come right away?

If it is an emergency situation, an officer will respond immediately. If one is not available (perhaps out on another emergency) initial response may be by a sheriff's deputy or a trooper from the Washington State Patrol. If the call requires a non-emergency response, the response will be dictated by priority set by the dispatcher or officer. You will be contacted as soon as it is practical to do so.

I had property seized or taken. Where do I go to get it back?

How do I obtain a vacation check form?

If you fill out a Vacation Check Form,  found on this website or at our office (170 NW Lincoln, White Salmon), we will do daily checks of your residence. We do not go in the house; it is a check of the premises. There is no charge for this service.

How can I register my Business Alarm Information?

A Business Contact Form is necessary for all Business Property owners. If your business is found unlocked an officer will contact the property owner or contact person before securing the premises.

How Do I Obtain A Concealed Weapon Permit?

If you can lawfully possess a firearm, you may apply at the Klickitat County Civil Divsion.  You can download the necessary Klickitat County Sheriff Department form here (pdf file). The form also has additional information about the process. Concealed weapon permits are issued through the Klickitat County Sheriff Department. How do I obtain a gun permit?

Gun permits are issued through Klickitat County Sheriff's Office Civil Division. Only qualified applicants will receive an approved permit.
